Robert Kraut is originally from New York City, where he played with various R&B and jazz artists including David Liebman, Lenny White, and Brother Jack McDuff. In the early 70’s Robert relocated in Pittsburgh, where he worked with Eric Kloss and several local funk bands. Since moving to Columbus he has appeared with Alvin Valentine, Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, Bobby Floyd, Richard Lopez, Andrew Waters, and The Governor. In 1993 he joined Roger Myers and Lee Savory in IBADA, and continues to appear with them. At present Robert is the guitarist with The Tony Monaco Trio; he is also Professor of Philosophy at The Ohio State University.
